To start any Education Benefit Program application, select the program below.
The Purpose of this program is to provide funding to Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians Tribal members pursuing one of the following (from an accredited College or University):
All educational institutions are subject to review and approval by the Education Department prior to providing funding for Tribal member participation.
**This program falls under the Indian General Welfare Act and is NOT a taxable benefit. You will NOT need to report this on your federal or state income taxes.
The award amount is based on financial need identified in the financial aid award letter/student aid report from the college or University. A recipient who has utilized the Higher Education Program funding to obtain a Vocational degree, Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree is not eligible to reapply for funding for a second degree of the same level.
ALL higher education students MUST submit a new student application
at the beginning of every academic year.
(Please note, our academic year runs from Fall to Summer.)

Please note, Continuing Education Students MUST submit their grades at the end of each term/semester to continue to receive funding.
Please do not submit until you have both your grades and schedule.
The Purpose of this program is to provide partial reimbursement of books to Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians Tribal members pursuing a Vocational Degree or Certificate, Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate Degree from an accredited college or University. Books must be required by instructional institution for currently enrolled courses. All educational institutions are subject to review and approval by the Education Programs Manager prior to providing funding for Tribal member participation.
When providing your receipts, please upload as a clear and readable PDF document. The receipt must show: date of purchase, proof of payment (Visa #), and students name.

This program is intended to assist Tribal members pursuing an occupational certificate, short-term training, and/or updated licensure. Certificates and short-term trainings are non-degree, non-credited, and
non-transferable awards or coursework for completing and educational program of
study. A high school diploma or GED is not necessary for this program.
All educational facilities are subject to review and approval by the Education Department prior to providing funding for Tribal member participation. Programs generally funded from this program testing fees, CDL, beauty (nails/hair/esthetician/tattoo), linemen, EMT, real estate, and notary.
Award amount is based on the request and budget of the program. The maximum lifetime funding a Tribal member may receive is $7500.
The Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians Education Division administers a College Computer Program that provides up to $500 towards the purchase of a computer, laptop to Cow Creek Tribal members pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Graduate Degree on a full-time basis from a regionally accredited Title IV institution.
All educational institutions are subject to review and approval by the Education Director prior to approval for the program. Eligible applicants must still have at least 3 terms or 2 semesters remaining prior to completing their degree.

The Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians Education Division administers a Lifetime Learning Program that provides funding to Cow Creek Tribal members that would like to take classes to enhance their lives. This benefit is for tribal members 18 years and older. Examples include, but are not limited to:

YOUTH EDUCATION PROGRAM
(Preschool - High School)
The Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians Education Division administers a Youth Education Program that provides funding to Cow Creek Tribal members that incur parental costs associated with their child's education endeavors or activities.
Expenses generally funded by this program are school fees, sports fees, educational activities, education summer camps, driver education, workshops, and field trips.* Funding is based on individual requests and the budget of the program.
The funding program limits are as follows:
*Please note, this program no longer offers school clothes as an eligible expense.
